To increase the industrial engineering performance of bulk forming is the main goal of the project EMuDig 4.0. Therefore, extra data logging and analysis methods were integrated into the production.  As a result, applications were developped, that will minimize plant downtimes, improve tool life and support employees to guarantee the product quality. An example of this is the Predictive-Quality-Assistant, which uses machine learning to predict product quality by using real-time process data and, on this basis, proposes an optimized machine setting for the next pressing.
